Bergtheim, 12.06.2024 - Timney Triggers has been setting the standard for maximum precision and reliability for over 77 years. Their high quality interchangeable triggers are known to elevate the weapons of sport shooters, hunters and authorities to a new dimension. With FERKINGHOFF, Timney brings the brand new UBK “Ultimate Builder's Kit” to Germany and now also offers a complete conversion kit for the original trigger unit of Glock pistols.
Three years ago, the American company revolutionized the large market of Glock match triggers from third-party manufacturers with its own “Alpha Competition Trigger”, because it transformed the original, partially pre-cocked Glock trigger system into a genuine, fully cocked single-action trigger system with unprecedented high quality. Now the traditional US specialist is going one step further and is launching the “Ultimate Builder's Kit”, a complete retrofit kit for the Austrian bestseller among polymer frame pistols with a firing pin lock.
The set contains the first-class trigger with the distinctive, red anodized, straight aluminium tongue, which is perpendicular to the axis of the sear at the moment the shot is released and thus contributes to a clean shot release. It also contains the firing pin and spring, the geometry of which is perfectly matched to the trigger lug. The firing pin and the breaker, which is also included in the set, are made of heat-treated, stainless steel and all parts of the UBK have an NP3 finish. This Teflon nickel-based finish provides unparalleled, friction-reducing smoothness of mechanical components with improved cleaning and maintenance properties.
Since this complete trigger system now comes from a single source and no original and third-party parts are combined, all components are perfectly matched. Furthermore, frictional resistance is reduced due to the surface finish and maximum durability and robustness are guaranteed by the materials and manufacturing processes used. A trigger weight with crystal-clear characteristics of around 1,130 to 1,360 grams can be achieved with the Timney UBK.
The EU importer FERKINGHOFF offers the UBK for fifth-generation Glock pistol models in 9 mm Luger and .40 S&W calibers, whereby the G44 small-caliber pistol is also compatible. The price is 321 euros. The UBK is also available for Glock Gen3 and Gen4 pistols for 339 euros. However, the manufacturer is also thinking of shooters who already own an Alpha Competition Trigger and is offering the kit without the trigger.
